We care on bringing you in touch with the wines and flavours of Peloponnese. Our highly experienced team is dedicated to offer you a package on the wide spectrum of local wine presentation, wine tasting learning, combination of wine with local flavours, vine landscapes, along with the views of a unique -in the world- ecosystem, all inclusive.

Our guest during the wine tour, have the chance to visit the winery and the vineyyards, exclusively chosen for the highly quality products, their approach on making wines, as also to their dedication to the Peloponnesian wine itself.

In 1859 the Bavarian Gustav Clauss, captivated by the culture of the Achaean capital and the special taste of vines, decided to create the first wine of Greece, in an area of 60 hectares, at 500 meters altitude, in the region of Riganokampos. In 1861 he founded the winery Achaia Clauss.
The factory today has several storage spaces, which can store up to 7500 tons of wine. The main components are: the storehouse with the old Mavrodaphne, the warehouse of table wines, the underground reservoirs and the store house of Daniilida.
If you visit it, do not forget to see the “imperial cellar,” where all the barrels are souvenirs from the visits of Greek and foreign Kings.

In the winery of Achaia Clauss, our guests will taste four different kinds of wine. They will also have the opportunity to discuss about the wines they taste with winery trained escort or the winemaker, having at the end of the sensational tour an integrated idea of the wines produced on Peloponnese. During the ride between wineries, stopovers, will give you the chance to have a closer look at both traditional and modern vineyards, learning more about history and practice of over 2000 years old, cultivation of these species. During the final visit ,in every wine tour, an assortment of local cheese and accompaniments , are offered, in order to give our guest the chance to combine local wines and flavours.

This is the first Greek Winery, founded by the Bavarian Gustav Clauss and has been continuously active since 1861 until the present day.

ACHAIA CLAUSS attempts to unite the past with the present and the future.
Cobbled streets among stone towers, historic buildings, cellars filled with barrels – each with its own history, little churches, statues, traditional tools awards from around the world and books. A scenery that have escaped from another era with breathtaking views and a moving atmosphere.
Wine Tasting - the journey ends in the winery where one will have the chance to taste 4 internationally awarded wines of the Estate,accompanied with cheese, meat and bread.

Children need to be accompanied by an adult.

For any tour is required a minimum number of participations in order to be materialized. In case of less participants our travel agency has the right to cancel the tour or to postpone the date in another with more participants.Last day of information about the materialisation of the tour can be 1 day before departure as some new last minute - bookings or cancelations can influence the tour.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the prebooked tour.
