“ Callan Pinckney was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia USA. From her childhood she had serious problems in her spine. He then wanted to travel the world, from Asia to Africa. When he returned to America and combined various forms of dance, movement and exercise, he created Callanetics. Only Callanetics was able to relieve her chronic back pain. At first it was addressed mainly to people with spine problems and then a big change was noticed in the external appearance of those who followed its program. Thus began people from all over the world to be trained in her method.”

Each exercise of the Callanetics is modified and adapted to the needs of the trainee. The goal is to mobilize and increase the range of motion of the joints, as well as to develop strength and flexibility, through the small consciously controlled movement safely.
The Callanetics method, proposed by TOM MYERS, creator of ANATOMY TRAINS, achieves in a very short time the development of deep muscle strength, muscular endurance, the correct alignment of the spine and the activation of the pelvic floor, while improving strength and flexibility, respectively, in a simple and at the same time dynamic way. Each Callanetics exercise is limited to specific muscle groups at a time, where with controlled and targeted minimal movement on the shafts, they are activated to the maximum of contraction or stretching each time.
Callanetics is an alternative form of exercise, without dangerous loads or vibrations, which makes it accessible to everyone, at any age, gender and physical condition, even to people who have never exercised before or who suffer from musculoskeletal problems.

This tour is taking place in one of the most traditional well preserved village in Greece, Kardamyli a spectacularly beautiful seaside village located in the Mani, a stunning region in the southern Peloponnese, the coast of Greece defined by travel connoisseurs as the New Côte d’Azur. Set dramatically against a backdrop of crystalline aqua-blue waters, majestic cypress trees, wild olive groves, verdant rolling hills and distant snowcapped mountains, it is one of the prettiest of villages that overlook the calm seas and splendid sunsets of the Messinian Gulf.
Here you will join us in the Old Kardamyli at our Callanetics gym and then a jump to the crystalline aqua-blue waters of Ritsa beach.
