The Messinian Gulf is considered one of the best places in Greece for a tandem paragliding Flight as it offers one of the highest takeoff point in Greece. On Kalathi Mount, which is situated precisely in the east side of our city, is the takeoff spot, at an altitude of 940 metres high. Certified paragliding instructors guarantee a safe and amazing flight over the beauty of the Messinian Gulf that will come to an end with your landing on the beach, next to Gregotel Filoxenia Hotel, in Verga, Kalamata.

The paragliding flight is an exciting and memorable experience , is a different escape from the ordinary , a special feeling.

The purpose of this unique experience is your addiction to free flight and activation to take up this sport (solo).
To make a tandem paragliding flight NOT need to have any special skill or expertise. All you need is to want it. For everything else will take care of us.

All pilots are all certified by the Greek Air Sports Federation with years of experience and will ensure you a unique experience.

Safety : Paragliding is directly related to the weather. THe experience of our partners from 1998 to the present, meteorology knowledge, Kalamata's microclimate weather along with newest certified equipment guarantee a safe flight.
Preparation : Enthusiasm and smiles necessarily. Five minutes briefing for take-off and landing, proper clothing (if you need we can provide shoes and overalls) depending on the season and ready to fly.
Equipment : The newest equipment certified by the best companies of paragliding with rescue parachutes, harness, helmets, wireless transceivers and FHD cameras contribute to wonderful tandem paragliding flights.
Photo shooting : During our flight, astonishing pictures and videos are recorded with our special equipment in order to capture those magic moments forever!
Video recording : How about a 15-minute video that would capture your reactions during the flight? We are equipped with a special action FHD camera in order to record your whole flight! The final footage is going to drive you crazy!

Departure time is arranged on the spot and the information will be sent for the morning or afternoon flight, one(1) before by sms or by email. Transfer to the takeoff spot is offered to our visitors. The meeting point, where we pick you up, is Grecotel Filoxenia Hotel - in the east side of Kalamata. Pick up points : from all hotels of city of Kalamata, if it is requested.

Participants should feel comfortable in flying in empty space.

For any tour is required a minimoum number of participations in order to be materialized. In case of less participants our travel agency has the right to cancel the tour or to postpone the date in another with more participants.Last day of information about the materialisation of the tour can be 1 day before departure as some new last minute - bookings or cancelations can influence the tour.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the prebooked tour.

FAQs

Anyone who is healthy with a body weight from 35 to 105 kg , that can pull and run for two – three meters. It takes four seconds and two meters running to get to the air at the absolute magic of free paragliding flight.

You need to be and feel healthy, not eat too much, avoid too much liquids and especially alcohol .. (create stomach upset and dizziness). For the first time, prefer morning hours or late afternoon .. At this hours is less the heat activity, more clear atmosphere for videos and photos (usually in summer) and less turbulence …

If you have already flight with paraglide once or if you are sure about yourself the afternoon flight offers the possibility of a longer flight, change of scenery depending on altitude, more thermal activity that gives you a true picture of this sport and it’s purpose, that is , go as high as possible each day and travel (cross country) to the next thermal. (thermal = mass of hot air pointing upwards)

* Normal flight is about 10-15 minutes. ( at the morning )
* VIP flights is from 20 to 40 minutes . ( at the afternoon )

The correct answer is: As safe as we do it. Every experienced pilot will tell you that the most important safety factor in paragliding is not wind, air pressure or visibility. In fact, it is no external factor. The most important factor is the severity with which each pilot complies with the flight procedure and regulations.

Statistically, paragliding is as safe as driving car … On the other hand, statistics tend to show that the paragliding is much safer on average than activities such as riding a motorcycle or even horse riding. The paragliding manufactured today are very stable. They are designed to recover quickly and automatically in the event of collapse. The equipment is fitted with an emergency rescue parachute. As long as you use new equipment that you check before each flight, there is a very low risk of equipment failure. Almost all accidents occur due to pilot mistakes in the air or from valuation of weather conditions before the takeoff.

20 years of experience in the area and its microclimate weather limits restricts the wrong choices to a minimum … for a safe paragliding flight.
