The full day tour of Argolis is a trip to some of the most important archaeological sites of Greece, in the most characteristic Greek-Mediterranean scenery of Peloponnese.

The first stage of our tour is allocated with the visit in Mycenae. In the north-east of the city of Argos lies the site of Mycenae (3000 B.C.). The monumental Lion Gate and the Treasury of Atreus, also known as the Tomb of Agamemnon, are considered to be the finest examples of Mycenaean architecture.35 km away is the magnificent open – air theatre of Epidaurus, designed by Polycleitos the Younger in the 3rd century B.C. It can seat 12300 spectators and the acoustics are exceptional. Every summer performances of ancient drama take place in this theatre. Our agency organizes also tours for all the performances to Ancient theater of Epidaurus during the summer.

Our next visit is Nafplion,which is one of Greece’s prettiest and most romantic towns. It occupies a knockout waterside location beneath the towering Palamidi fortress, and is graced with attractive narrow streets, elegant Venetian houses, neoclassical mansions and interesting museums. It is also chock-full of tavernas, posh boutiques and comfortable hotels and guesthouses.

As you enter through the Lions' Gate and walk around the ruins of the City of Ancient Mycenae, remember Homer's famous poem, The Iliad, where Agamemnon, the Greek protagonist of the Trojan War once ruled.
Do not miss visiting the Mycenae Archaeological Museum with more than 2000 exhibits, one of them being the Golden Mask of Agamemnon.
Continue your tour with a visit to the famous vaulted tombs, such as the tomb of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. Also, just a breath away is the most magnificent and well preserved vaulted Mycenaean tomb, "The Treasure of Atreus".
On to the Theatre of Epidauros, renowned for its outstanding acoustics. Don't miss out to test it by standing at the highest point and throwing a coin to the orchestra!

Morning departure from your hotel for an amazing full day excursion to the first capital of Greece the years 1828 – 1833, Nafplion. We visit the castle where the leader of the Greek revolution against the Turks spent the last days of his life. We depart for the ancient theatre of Epidavrous. The place where every year hosts 17.000 people on Fridays and Saturdays (from July to August) to watch the Ancient Greek Tragedies and comedies. Next stop to Mycenae. The kingdom of Agamemnona and one of the largest places of the Greek Mycenaean Civilisation. Free time for lunch and rest. Return to the hotels.

Start point: Nedontos street 79, Kalamata (Next to main square). Departure time 07.30am.
