Enjoy the amazing and vast coastline of Greece, of over 3000 km, full of history and myths, with turquoise coloured waters and lush vegetation hanging over the sea, with plenty of hidden private beaches and coves just for ourselves to enjoy.
A unique combination of nature, history and architecture at Poros canal and island with this sea kayaking tour.
Poros is comprised of two islands, Sphairia and Kalavria, of which the former is a volcanic rock and the latter planted with pine trees.

The activity includes a 30 minutes preparation time 2-2,5 hours paddling exploration, 2 hours free time for picnic, relaxation, snorkeling, swimming, diving and other activities. The starting point and the direction we follow is based on weather conditions and wind direction.
We will start from the town of Galatas, setting an eastward course. There, after a ten minute paddling we will come across 4 small islets. One of them is called “Bourtzi”. Bourtzi is a small island with an area of 30,000 m2, at the entrance of the port of the island of Poros.
There was a castle on the island since the Byzantine period. It was used then as a base of operations against the Saracen pirates. The castle remains that we see today are from the fort that was built there in the 19th century by the Bavarian Philhellene Carl Wilhelm von Heideck (1788-1861) who had served as chairman of the Funds Raiser Committee of the New Greek State.
One upon a time, two small islands – Spheria and Kalavria – came together to produce a little jewel in the Saronic Gulf, the island of Poros, which along with its sister town Galatas, is our next destination. Small boats bearing visitors come and go across the channel. When you, land you encounter quaint taverns, yacht marinas, neoclassical buildings, a clock tower and pine forests reaching the sea. All, offering a feeling of serenity and relaxation.
There we can see the picturesque houses of Poros along with the volcanic rocks of Galata, dating back to the time the sea surface was created. This unique trip combines nature’s carvings and 18th century architecture to the extent that the kayaker really lives a unique experience combining nature sport with history and culture.
Afterwards, we will admire the crystal-clear waters of a magical, secluded beach, enjoy a meal of local, organic, home-made products. We will relax, rest, swim and head back, having an opportunity of an alternative gaze of the route, thus being able to remember it for a lifetime.

Extra pair of shoes that will get wet. Suitable shoes are lightweight trainers, flip flops, sandals or sea shoes. Avoid bulky shoes.

Departure time and excact meeting point with information will be advised by sms or email one (1) day before the departure of your tour/activity.

Participants should feel comfortable in sea kayaking and able to paddle.

For any tour is required a minimoum number of participations in order to be materialized. In case of less participants our travel agency has the right to cancel the tour or to postpone the date in another with more participants.Last day of information about the materialisation of the tour can be 1 day before departure as some new last minute - bookings or cancelations can influence the tour.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the prebooked tour.
