At the southeastern end of Messinia, between the Ionian Sea and the Messinian Gulf, we meet the picturesque town of Methoni standing near its majestic castle. A place which used to be one of the most important routes in the maritime history of the Mediterranean. In front of Methoni, the ever green island of Sapienza, integrated into the Natura 2000 network is a natural monument and home to rare species of flora and fauna.

Through picturesque villages and over rolling hills this tour leads us to the most iconic historical monument of the region: the Venetian castle of Methoni. A lunch in a local tavern directly on the beach and free time for swimming complete this family tour.
