The place
In this combined activities tour we have the opportunity to explore the major sights of the historic bay of Navarino. The area being integrated into the environmental program natura 2000 is the largest wetland in southern Greece. Within a landscape of incredible natural beauty we enjoy clear blue waters, golden sandy beaches and medieval castles standing over historical shipwrecks outlining the rich naval history of the area.
Sea Kayaking
In the beginning, we have a briefing about the route we are about to follow and about the basic techniques in sea kayaking. We begin our journey paddling around the bay with destination the imposing island of Sfaktiria making a short stop for snorkeling at its northern tip. Heading north we explore the coastline of the island until we reach the dock leading to the Russian monument. At this lush part of the island we take a break to rest and enjoy a picnic with fruit and traditional delicacies. From that spot the whole bay of Navarino is at our feet.
Hiking
Following the path around the Yialova lagoon, we have the opportunity to observe its ecosystem and receive knowledge and information about this unique and sensitive natural environment. Along the way we visit the famous beach of Voidokoilia and then we go up the hill of Koryfasio. On our way we get the chance to explore the cave of Nestor, the mythical king of Pylos. At the top of the hill we explore the medieval castle of Paleocastro and we walk over its fortifications. At this point we discover the rare geomorphology, the beauty and uniqueness of the landscape.

Basic physical condition.
No hiking and sea kayaking experience required. Light walking is nessecery.
If you have any food ingredient allergy or allergy on other natural sources like egg bees, please let us know.
Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
Participants should feel comfortable in walking and able to walk.
For any tour is required a minimum number of participations in order to be materialized. In case of less participants our travel agency has the right to cancel the tour or to postpone the date in another with more participants.Last day of information about the materialisation of the tour can be 1 day before departure as some new last minute - bookings or cancelations can influence the tour.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the prebooked tour.
