As part of our effort to show our cultural heritage and the local tradition, we recommend for travellers that are traveling to the town of Monemvasia, a small visit to “Liotrivi”.
“Liotrivi” is a fully restored historical mansion that previously was the home of the family Ritsos, in which the world wide known poet lived during his childhood.
After the year 1930, the house was converted to an olive oil mill, which functioned until 1962. Today, it is a unique cultural museum, managing to keep its historical identity.

In our lovely garden, in a specially designated area, with a beautiful setting, amongst nature, is where we organize and deliver specially-selected cooking classes of the Greek Gastronomy. Each class is designed to highlight the traditional cuisine, with its distinct quality and special flavors using fresh and organic local  ingredients. Our guests partake in this engaging process and discover the best secrets of Laconian authentic cooking. The cooking lesson will be combined with other activities, such as a tour of The Olive Oil Museum, wine-tasting in the cellar, both of which are located in the Liotrivi Mansion, and accompanied with a delicious meal.

Cooking class Premium includes cooking 5 traditional Greek dishes :
· Greek Salad
· Tzatziki
· Feta cheese baked in wooden oven
· Gemista (stuffed peppers and tomatoes with rice) baked in wooden oven or Giouvetsi (veal in tomato sauce with local pasta) baked in wood oven.
· Traditional Greek doughnuts with honey
( All the above dishes are specially selected so the participant can easily cook even at home after the class, with the same ingredients that can be found everywhere).

Our guest may participate actively by cooking the dishes on their own, under the guidence of our experienced shef.

It is a uniquely pleasant and creative cooking experience set in our Mansion’s beautiful garden While waiting for the food to be cooked, before the meal, the guests are offered a chance to enjoy a tour on the Olive Oil Museum and wine tasting in our cellar to choose the wine of their preferance, to enjoy it with their meal(The tour, the wine tasting and 1 glass of wine per person upon preference is offered complimentary by us).

Later our guest can enjoy their meal with the dishes they prepared and the wine they preferred in our beautiful garden. They may also have the chance to taste other homemade products and enjoy a unique meal with the excellent service provited by our staff.
