This tour is designed to guide you to the best olive picking procedure showing you the way of olive picking and harvesting in the small village of Marathopoli where you can participate in the olive harvest.

On an olive picking day you will be working and staying in beautiful surroundings (olive groves are often full of wild flowers and butterflies), you will receive a warm welcome from owners keen to share with you their way of life and gain the satisfaction of helping to gather in the harvest. Even better you will discover that nothing tastes nicer than fresh extra virgin olive oil produced from the olives that you have helped to hand pick from the tree and will have watched being pressed in the local mill.

A 3-4h guided Olive oil tour that starts with the visit at the olive grove harvesting of the perennial olive trees, the olive mill visit to produce fresh olive oil, and ends up with a revealing olive oil & Kalamata olives tasting accompanied with local goods.

Olive picking and Harvest period October till end of January , probably begging of February, depending the weather conditions and the quantity of the production.

Every October and November, usually in the beginning of the month, we celebrate the OLIVE HARVESTING SEASON. Guests participate to the harvest. We visit the olive mill, taste the fresh olive oil, and learn about the history of olive oil and all its beneficial ingredients. It is an amazing experience. You learn a lot about Peloponnese culture and the contact with the olive trees makes you feel blessed.
