The place

Koroni is also called “The Lady of the South”. A lovely authentic village where fishing and farming dominate daily life. Koroni is surrounded by the sea. Down in the village you can enjoy Greek cuisine in one off the many taverns. Also during the night, the village is full of liveliness. Tourists crowd the many terraces on the boulevard. On the other side of the village you will find Zaga- and Memi-beach. Two lovely spotst connected by a 3 km. wide sandy beach. Both beaches offer you everything for a lazy day at the beach. Sunbathing or swimming in the warm water of the Ionic Sea are just a few of the many possibilities. The various taverns at the seaside offer you a healthy lunch or a cosy diner.

Without a visit to the old castle and the monastery, your visit to Koroni will not be complete. A unique piece of history is right at your feet and will tell you lot’s about Koroni’s history. The surrounding area of Koroni also has lots to offer. The city of Kalamata is within a 45 minute drive.

The activity
Our tour begins from the sandy beach of Zagka beach at Koroni, near the beautiful castle We prepare our equipment and attend a brief but comprehensive introduction to the basics of sea kayaking. We paddle with our kayaks within turquoise waters near the imposing walls of the castle which is adorned with impressive arcs, bastions and battlements. After 1,5-2 hours we take a big break to rest, swim and snorkeling in crystal waters and enjoy a delicious picnic with traditional delicacies. After an unforgetable experience in the area of Koroni, we return to our initial meeting point at Zagka beach.

The activity includes a 30 minutes preparation time 2-2.5 hours paddling exploration, 1-1.5 hours free time for picnic, relaxation, snorkeling, swimming, diving and other activities. The starting point and the direction we follow is based on weather conditions and wind direction.

Extra pair of shoes that will get wet. Suitable shoes are lightweight trainers, flip flops, sandals or sea shoes. Avoid bulky shoes.

Meeting time and information will be advised by sms or email one (1) day before the departure of your tour.

No paddling experience required. Light walking is nessecery.

Children need to be accompanied by an adult.

In case of less participants our travel agency has the right to cancel the tour or to postpone the date in another with more participants.Last day of information about the materialisation of the tour can be 1 day before departure as some new last minute - bookings or cancelations can influence the tour.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the prebooked tour.
