Breath-hold diving, dangerous though it can be, has been used to collect pearls, sponges and valuable commodities from the sea floor for many generations
Scuba diving is an amazing feeling and is as close as a person can get to being weightless without going into space.
Today, scuba diving is accessible to almost anyone with only a modest investment in equipment. Anywhere you want to dive you can usually find a dive shop near-at-hand to rent tanks, go on a guided dive with a master diver, take a chartered boat or just strap on the tanks and swim out from the shore
Today our dive destination Kitries Port is for all levels .
The picturesque fishing village and beach Kitries is located 12 km away from Kalamata to the east of the Messinian Bay. It is a small beach with green waters with pebbles and scattered rocks. The vegetation is rich in the region and reaches to the sea.
The beach in Kitries although it is small, is full of visitors during summer mainly because of the natural landscape that surrounds this small creek.

09:30 hrs - Meet at Kalamata port, paperwork, fitting, kit up. DSD(Diploma Scuba Divers) people meet at 09:00 hrs
11:00 hrs - Departure, transfer by Trigilidas, equipment transfer by Diving company.
11.30 hrs - Arrival at Gaitanaros Café.
12.30 hrs - Dive. The dive will take us from the little beach in front of the Gaitanaros Café to the wall by the port. Small cavern to be observed from the outside at 8m depth.
Max depth 12m for DSD and 18m for Open Water and Reactivate Divers. Dive duration can be one hour. Return inside the port of Kitries by very gradual ascent. The dive is very easy and intended for DSD, beginners and Reactivate Divers.
13.30 hrs - Dive finish.
This dive can also be done as a night dive, meeting at Kalamata port at 19.30h.
This outdoor activity is available all year, depending the sea-weather conditions and you can select your date during the booking process. We’ll then get back to you with the confirmation.

Meeting point : Kalamata port.
Meeting time : 09:15 a.m. for beginners, 08:45 a.m. for DSDs.
Final meeting place,time,date and information will be advised by sms or email two(2) days before the departure of your tour.
Basic physical condition : Your physical condition, no special physical condition is required. Nowadays diving is accessible to almost everybody. For safety reasons, each participant in a diving course will fill in, with the help of their doctor, a short medical questionnaire to ascertain if there would be an issue with diving.
Scuba diving experience is not required,only for DSDs.
If you have any food ingredient allergy or allergy on other natural sources like egg bees,or any special meditation requirements, please let us know.
Minimum age: 10 years old.
Diving equipment :except for your swimsuit… all other equipment is lent to you when you take the course. This is included in the course price.
Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
Participants should feel comfortable in swimming and able to swimm.
For any tour is required a minimum number of participations in order to be materialized. In case of less participants our travel agency has the right to cancel the tour or to postpone the date in another with more participants.Last day of information about the materialisation of the tour can be 1 day before departure as some new last minute - bookings or cancelations can influence the tour.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the prebooked tour.
All customer touchpoints are frequently cleaned.
Social distancing is maintained in vehicles up to 65% of the total capacity per vehicle ( taxi-minivan-minibus-bus)
The number of visitors is limited to reduce crowds.
