This catamar charter and tour is available 1st May 2021 till 23rd October 2021 depending the weather conditions and you can select your date during the booking process. We’ll then get back to you with the confirmation.

If you don’t find any dates that are suitable for you, just get in touch by phone or email and we’ll let you know if anything can be arranged. We always do our best to get the experience that suits you best.

Day 1: Athens - Corinth Canal - Kalamata - Kardamili
Day 1: Athens - Corinth Canal - Kalamata - Kardamili

Whether you’re arriving at the Athens international airport on that day, or have spent the night in a hotel in Athens, you will be met by our driver and after introductions, you’ll board our minivan, leave
the city behind and drive south.
Along the way, we’ll be making a brief stop for photos at the Corinth Canal, one of the technological wonders of the ancient world. Crossing into the Peloponnese, the national highway will take us south
to the coastal town of Kalamata.
Once there, we’ll head to the marina and board the catamaran that is going to be our home for the next week. Our skipper and hostess will check you in your cabins and introduce you to the itinerary, after a
short orientation.
Late afternoon we’ll leave the marina behind us, enjoying views of the bay of Kalamata. We head southeast, towards the Mani peninsula and the tiny village of Kardamili where we’ll be stopping for an
early evening swim.
The village is one of the oldest settlements in the Peloponnese, mentioned in Homer’s Iliad. These days it’s a somewhat lively village with some amazing swimming spots in the tiny bays
surrounding it.
We’ll spend the night there. The seafood tavernas right on the water are an excellent introduction to southern Greece’s diverse and unique cuisine and are highly recommended for dinner.

Overnight: Cabin aboard the catamaran
Total driving time: aprox. 3 hours
Total sailing time: aprox. 2 hours (14nm)

Day 2: Kardamyli - Diros caves - Gerolimenas
Day 2: Kardamyli - Diros caves - Gerolimenas

Early in the morning, after breakfast and possibly a swim, we leave the sleepy village of Kardamyli behind us and sail further south towards the bay of Diros.
The area is famous for its sea caverns, filled with impressive stalactites and stalagmites and we’ll have plenty of time there for a guided underground boat tour. The site has been inhabited by humans for at
least 8000 years and according to historical sources it was considered on the entrances to the Underworld. Fun!
Early afternoon we set sails again, heading further south along the Mani peninsula towards the seaside settlement of Gerolimenas.
We’ll drop anchor along the way and we’ll have plenty of time to swim, paddleboard or snorkel in one of the numerous bays of that part of Lakonia.
In the evening we’ll drop anchor off the coast of what is considered by many the most picturesque fishing village in southern Greece. There are plenty of excellent seaside eateries to choose from for
dinner.

Overnight: Cabin aboard the catamaran
Total sailing time: aprox. 4 hours (31nm)

Day 3: Gerolimenas - Elafonisos
Day 3: Gerolimenas - Elafonisos

In the morning you have time for breakfast, while we prepare the catamaran for yet another amazing sailing experience.
This time our destination is the island of Elafonisos, an almost tropical paradise, full of white sand beaches, turquoise waters and plenty of opportunities for snorkeling and paddleboarding.
It takes a while to get there and it’s sound advice to have your cameras ready for some panoramic views of Cape Tainaron and its dramatic lighthouse, which we’ll pass along the way.
Once in Elafonisos, we’ll drop anchor at Simos beach and spend the rest of the day in and around the water. The island is insanely picturesque by itself. Add in a ton of marine life and the fact that it’s
conveniently tucked in under the Peloponnese’s land mass, provides a safe harbor year round from which to enjoy all things aquatic.
We’ll drop anchor for the night in either Simos or Sarakiniko bay, depending on the wind. We also have the option of docking in the village marina. The day ends with a BBQ dinner onboard the catamaran.

Overnight: Cabin aboard the catamaran
Total sailing time: aprox. 4 hours (33nm).

Day 4: Elafonisos - Gytheio
Day 4: Elafonisos - Gytheio

On this day we’ll allow plenty of time to enjoy the sea. You can paddleboard, snorkel or swim in the morning along the island’s sandy beaches. Or take a relaxed approach and enjoy breakfast onboard and some sun.
Late morning, early afternoon, we’ll set sails again heading northwest towards the Laconian part of the Peloponnese and the seaside town of Gytheio where we’ll spend the night.
Ancient Sparta’s old harbor, Gytheio has a significant place in both ancient and modern Greek history. It boasts an excellent cultural museum on the same island where Paris of Troy supposedly had an extramarital affair with Helen, thus starting the Trojan war.
Other than history Gytheio is the ideal place to take a stroll down its promenade and savor an array of delicious tapas and the ever growing selection of Greek microbrews in an array of restaurants dotted along the way.
You also have the option to visit the nearby archaeological site of Mystras, a medieval castle city and the last bastion of the Byzantine Empire. Let us know in advance and we’ll make arrangements on your behalf.
At night time, Gytheio’s traditional restaurants provide an excellent introduction to Laconian (Spartan)cooking. Enjoy!

Overnight: Cabin aboard the catamaran
Total sailing time: aprox. 4 hours (31nm)
Extra upon your request: Guided archeological tour to the site on ancient Mystras

Day 5: Gytheio - Porto Kayo
Day 5: Gytheio - Porto Kayo

After breakfast we have plenty of time to enjoy one last stroll around the town’s promenade.
Then we’ll raise the anchor and head south this time, towards the tiny protected bay of Porto Kayo.
On our way there we’ll stop by Gytheio’s famous shipwreck, one of the most photographed shipwrecks in Greece. Photo opportunities abound so have those cameras ready!
Porto Kayo, a tiny secluded bay in the southernmost part of the Mani Peninsula boasts turquoise waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. It’s an insanely photogenic place and quiet year round.
We’ll drop anchor, and take the dinghy out to shore to enjoy dinner by the water in one of the two traditional seafood tavernas in the bay.

Overnight: Cabin aboard the catamaran
Total sailing time: aprox. 3.5 hours (26nm).

Day 6: Porto Kayo - Cape Tainaron - Limeni
Day 6: Porto Kayo - Cape Tainaron - Limeni

After breakfast, it's time to leave Porto Kayo behind us and head southwest towards the tip of Cape Tainaron, continental Europe’s southernmost point.
On our way there we’ll stop for a swim at Ormos beach. You’ll know why when we get there. Upon arriving at Cape Tainaron we’ll make another stop and get to shore.
There’s a hiking trail that leads to the famous lighthouse, passing through the ruins of ancient temples, herds of cows and the occasional Mediterranean seal basking in the sun. Bringing your camera, especially on an overcast day!
Once we’re back on the catamaran we’ll keep heading north, towards the Messinian part of the Mani peninsula.
We’ll stop for yet another swim in one of the numerous tiny bays near the seaside village of Limeni, where we’ll spend the night. Think of medieval stone towers, massive prickly pear bushes and cobblestone alleys full of wonderful culinary surprises. The Mani peninsula always delivers unforgettable travel experiences.

Overnight: Cabin aboard the catamaran
Total sailing time: aprox. 4 hours (28nm).

Day 7: Limeni - Kardamili - Kalamata
Day 7: Limeni - Kardamili - Kalamata

After breakfast we’ll have a relaxed morning and dedicate this day to swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding as we make our way back to the coastal town of Kalamata.
You also have the option to partake in a sea kayaking mini adventure, exploring the bays and coves that dot the Kardamili coastline. Let us know in advance and we’ll arrange it on your behalf.
We’ll reach the marina in the early evening and we’ll have plenty of time to explore the town, have a swim in the sandy beach east of the marina, or do some last minute shopping (go for olive oil and olives).
In the evening we’ll have one last dinner in south Greece. The options are endless and Kalamata has become something of a culinary hub in recent years. Your guide will point you to the right place, whether you’re craving seafood, meat or something traditional.

Overnight: Cabin aboard the catamaran
Total sailing time: aprox. 3.5 hours (26nm).

Day 8: Kalamata - Athens
Day 8: Kalamata - Athens

Early in the morning we pack our bags and bid farewell to the catamaran that’s been our home for the past week and our adventure in south Greece ends.
You’ll board the minibus and we’ll head north towards Athens. Whether you’re flying out, or have booked accommodation in the city, your driver will make sure you’re dropped off where you need to.

Weather Information :
Weather Information :

Greece in general has warm and humid summers lasting from May till October. In May and October weather can be less predictable with some rain and chilly temperatures being possible especially in the
Greek mainland. Greek summers are generally hot, with temperatures rarely getting lower than 25 degrees Celsius in most of our destinations, while temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius during the
day are not unheard of in July and August. In the open sea, weather can be tough to predict all year round, but in the summer the seas are generally calm and ideal for sailing. Generally, cool temperatures
and occasional rainfalls occur especially at night, especially in the mountains, a fact that you have to take into account when packing for your adventure.
