You will study and learn about art while exploring the ancient ruins and the deep blue Aegean Sea & colors.Enjoy painting, drawing , sculpture and printmaking classes on the beautiful Peloponnese, Greece. Combine art and travel by joining an artist workshop with artists at the medieval castle of Kalamata, overlooking the city form the top.

The Castle of Kalamata, as an archaeological site, apart from its museum dimension, is an excellent field of interactive entertainment, education and creativity.

Greece is known for its wonderful conditions for artists, from the quality of her light to the wide variety of subject matter, and such vibrant colours! So we are pleased to offer painting tours in several contrasting but equally beautiful areas.

The activities are suitable for painters of all abilities, especially novices who will receive excellent one-on-one guidance and tuition.

The medieval castle of Kalamata: The fort has an interesting history, having been Byzantine, Frankish, Venetian and Ottoman at various periods. The Venetians burned it in 1540 before yielding it to the Turks, who did the same in turn in 1685.
