We care on bringing you in touch with the spirits and flavours of local Spirits of Kalamata.
Our guest during the Flavour tour of Spirits, have the chance to visit the Callicounis Craft Distillery and the production line, exclusively chosen for the highly quality products, their approach on making , as also to their dedication to the Peloponnesian local drinks itself.
In 1850 G. CALLICOUNIS, established in Kalamata of Messinia prefecture in Greece, the first steam powered distillery equipment with the best known machinery at the time.
With studies of chemistry in Triesto and combining with imagination and knowledge a big variety of aromatic plants, roots and fruits from the vast vegetation of Southern Greece, George Callicounis performed the creation of Distillates and extracts with original subtle tastes and flavours.
Callicounis distillates extracts, concentres and absolues are the same aromatic and tasteful heart of the aperitifs, Digestifs, Bitters and liqueurs produced since then by the Distillery.
As one of Greece’s oldest distillery, the craftsmanship and experience have been passed on from generation to generation. Callicunis Craft Distillery has been awarded numerous accolades, prizes & awards by Dignitaries & Royalties and the owners are proud of their heritage.

Of course! This activity is available during the whole year except national holidays. You can select your date during the booking process. We’ll then get back to you with the confirmation.

Final meeting time and information will be advised by sms or email one (1) day before the departure of your tour/activity.
There is no age limit for this tour.

Drinking and tasting spirits at Callicounis Craft Distillery is optional.
For any tour is required a minimum number of participations in order to be materialized. In case of less participants our travel agency has the right to cancel the tour or to postpone the date in another with more participants.Last day of information about the materialisation of the tour can be 1 day before departure as some new last minute - bookings or cancelations can influence the tour.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the prebooked tour.
